The villa

Our largest villa, all on one level

El Cortijo is the largest of the five homes, and the most impressive. A vast natural-stone terrace runs out to an infinity pool that seems to carry on into the Mediterranean, with the Sierra Nevada rising behind.

Under the pergola, a table made to order in Swedish oak seats up to 24. It's where lunches turn into dinners, and dinners carry on long after the sun has gone.

The outdoor kitchen is built for real cooking, with a wood-fired pizza oven and a large wine fridge close at hand. Inside, four bedrooms and generous living spaces sit on a single level.

Pool & terrace

An infinity pool, 27 metres long

The pool is the heart of the villa: 27 × 5 metres of water with no edge in sight, set into a natural-stone terrace with room for everyone. The Costa Tropical is mild all year round, so it earns its place in every season.

On the hill

Between the sea and the Sierra Nevada

El Cortijo sits on the Cantalobos hillside with the Mediterranean on one side and the Sierra Nevada on the other. It's the estate's home for larger groups — and when the group grows further, the other villas are a short walk away.

Shared across the estate

Every stay at El Cortijo includes access to the estate's shared spaces — they belong to the hill, not to any one villa.

  • Padel courtThe estate's own court, open to every guest.
  • Garden Gym & yogaAn open-air gym where fitness meets nature, with yoga alongside.
  • Orchard & walking trailsA fruit orchard with trails winding through it.
